“Ai Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Shane Rodgers as our new head of Ai Group in Queensland to be based in Brisbane,” Ai Group Chief Executive, Innes Willox, said today.
“Shane joins Ai Group at a time of great opportunity for Queensland business and with no less excitement in the political arena.
“He has extensive experience in business and the media with deep and long-standing roots in Queensland.
“His previous business roles have included General Manager of Goodstart Early Learning; General Manager of Queensland Newspapers; and Chief Operating Officer of Brisbane’s Economic Development Board (Brisbane Marketing).
“Shane has also had an extensive media career where his roles have included Queensland Manager and Editor of The Australian, National Editorial Director of APN Regional Media and Editor in Chief and Deputy General Manager of Quest Newspapers.
“He has a special interest in the structure of business organisations, innovation, incubation and the challenges of a fast-disrupting economy. He also takes a particular interest in social change and the way human behaviour is reshaping the nature of industry, workplaces and marketplaces.
“He will be a great asset for Ai Group and our members in Queensland and we wish him well in his new role.
“Shane succeeds Jemina Dunn who left Ai Group in July to become CEO of South Bank Corporation and who very sadly passed away earlier this month,” Mr Willox said.
